At the Barbican Training Centre, you can choose from a number of free programmes. Our programmes are open to all, but age and residency restrictions may apply. These flexible programmes are undertaken on a part-time basis so you can continue to work while you learn new skills. The programmes vary in length from 18 weeks to 24 weeks. Each programme emphasises practical skills using real-life tools.

Once you have successfully completed your chosen programme, you will receive a NZQA approved Certificate to validate your skills.
Classes are held at the Barbican Training Centre, 563 Main Road, Stoke, Nelson and the Koru Institute of Training and Education in Blenheim.
