At the Barbican Training Centre, you can choose from a number of free programmes. Our programmes are open to all people but age and residency restrictions may apply. Our flexible programmes are undertaken on a part-time basis so you can continue to work while you learn new skills. Our programmes vary in length from 20 weeks to 24 weeks. Each programme emphasises practical skills using real-life tools. Once you have successfully completed your chosen programme, you will receive a NZQA approved Certificate to validate your skills.
Classes are currently held at the Tahuna Function Centre (Nelson) and the Koru Institute of Training and Education (Blenheim).
