Debbie Pepler

Debbie Pepler

Debbie Pepler is Christchurch born and was an active member of the Girls Brigade for 17 years where she obtained the highest national award, the Queens Award and the Silver Duke of Edinburgh award.

Her work experience started with a career in real estate where she established the property management department with a long standing Christchurch company before moving onto sales within that same organisation.

Heading overseas on her OE, Debbie was fortunate to work with many inspirational leaders learning to build teams and manage projects in the UK. She undertook various assignments on three major railway projects, Heathrow Express, West Coast Route Modernisation and Thameslink 2000 before undertaking a challenging directorship with the management consultancy business, DS+A Ltd where she was responsible for operational aspects and gave support in the direction of the business. It was in the UK that Debbie obtained her Higher National Certificate in Business and Management.

Returning to New Zealand from the UK in 2004, Debbie and her husband Michael purchased an existing hospitality business in Blenheim which included hosting overnight visitors, a smattering of horticulture, (we grew chrysanthemums and olives) retail, (a small farm shop) weddings and events in their garden plus managed house boats on the Opawa River. They sold their property after three years becoming wiser in owning a very diverse business.

Debbie now has her own consultancy business and her vision for the future – to work in both New Zealand and England, offering consultancy services to owners busy working in their business rather than on their business. Debbie is passionate about business and inspires others to dream more, learn more and do more.

In her spare time, Debbie enjoys cooking for friends and family, travelling the world and spoiling their two moggie cats, Molly and Jesse plus the fish Spotty, Rupert and their babies (x 20).
